The MaCS Program at W.L. Mackenzie C.I. operates under the authority of the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). MaCS is required to follow all TDSB policies and procedures for a specialized program within the TDSB.

The TDSB has recently updated its attendance policy for all specialized programs including MaCS for grade 8 applicants starting with this year’s application pool:

“Grade 8 students who are applying to a specialized program and receive an offer and choose to accept the offer must be a resident of the City of Toronto.”

Note: Grade 8 students who receive and accept an offer but do not attend a TDSB school will be required to provide documentation for proof of residence in the City of Toronto.

Note: Grade 8 students who attend a school outside the City of Toronto but are a resident of the City of Toronto are also eligible to apply.

Note: If a grade 8 student applies and resides outside the City of Toronto at the time of application and receives an offer and chooses to accept the offer must become a resident of the City of Toronto at the time of registration in order for the offer to remain valid.

Wednesday October 30, 2019 at 6:30 pm (Booth displays) and 7:00 pm (Presentation)

MaCS Entrance Test 2019:
Friday November 15, 2019 at 8:45 am

Test registration and application submission will begin at 8:45 am in the school gymnasium. Please bring a pencil, a calculator, an eraser, and your completed application package and application fee.

Parking will be available in our parking lot and on the side streets near our school (Tillplain Road, Cocksfield Avenue, Searle Avenue, Waterloo Avenue, and Codsell Avenue). Parking restrictions on these side streets will be lifted in the morning until 12:30 pm. on the day of the entrance test. We are also easily accessible by TTC or Subway.

Application Deadline 2019:
Friday November 15, 2019 during registration

Notification Letters for the 2020-2021 school year:
Week of February 3, 2020
