Student Life

Mackenzie is proud of its incredible selection of clubs, including SWITCH, environmental, chess, anime, Culturama, empowered student partnerships, the Lyon newspaper, the Advocate yearbook, Spilled Ink, computer programming, model United Nations, DECA, Harmony Movement, Rainbow Club, Free the Children, Science Club, Science Olympics, Reach for the Top and the many clubs that represent various cultural groups in the school.

 

Our Music program includes Concert Band and Choir, Jazz Band and Choir, Junior Wind Ensemble and Guitars.

 

Join or cheer on one of our sports teams, including badminton, baseball, basketball, volleyball, cross-country running, floor hockey, golf, ice hockey, rugby, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field, ultimate frisbee, and wrestling. As well, our intramural programs during lunch and after school is vibrant and inclusive.

 

Our students have multiple opportunities to participate in many outstanding field trips to such destinations as art galleries, theatres, hospitals, the Ontario Science Centre, the ROM, and facilities for rock climbing, horseback riding and beach volleyball. As well, our French language students visit Quebec, our Arts students visit New York, and Social Science students are travelling to France.
