Parking on School Property

Many students drive to school and park on school property.  Students must have permission to park on school property. Without permission from the school, students driving onto school property are trespassing. Download and complete the attachment, or remind students to come to the main office to pick up a form to register the car’s license plate with the school. For safety, students need to agree to the terms on the application, and may have their privileges revoked if found driving carelessly on school property. Cars parked without permission on school property will be ticketed at the owner’s expense. Students should park in areas indicated on the drawing.

May 18th & 19th: Grease Musical

Feeling nostalgic for a simpler time?  Get out your hair gel and poodle skirts and join us as the Mackenzie Players hit the stage in a revival of the hit Broadway musical Grease.  It’s 1958 and another school year is beginning at Rydell High.  The 1950s high school dream is about to explode in this rollicking musical that is both an homage to the idealism of the fifties and a satire of high schoolers’ age-old desire to be rebellious. At the heart of the story is the romance between hot-rodding Danny Zuko and the sweet new girl in town, Sandy Dumbrowski. They had a secret romance in the summer, but when the school year begins, Danny is torn between his feelings for good-girl Sandy and his Greaser image with the T-Birds and the Pink Ladies. The whole gang sings and dances around Danny and Sandy’s romance as they navigate their teenage landscape.  The songs which include the hits “Greased Lightnin'”, “We Go Together”, and “Mooning” recall the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation.  The show hits the Mackenzie stage on Wednesday, May 18 and Thursday, May 19 at 7:00.  Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for adults and will be sold in the school store as well as at the door.  Hope to see you there!
