Student Council and Athletic Council are running a four day Terry Fox initiative that will culminate to a school wide run on Thursday September 29th at 11:00am during second period. For $2.00, students will be able to purchase fashionable “soles,” reminiscent of Terry Fox’s journey, and place these soles around the school to proudly dedicate these individual soles as a celebration to all cancer survivors and, as a commemoration of life. With each sole purchased, students will also receive a raffle ticket to vie for the prize of a pair of lower bowl Raptors’ tickets to the Denver Nugget’s game in October valued at $400.00. The winner of the raffle will be announced during the run on Thursday. All proceeds raised from our Student and Athletic Council initiative will be generously donated to The Canadian Cancer Society.
