March 21: Parent Teacher Interview Day
Mackenzie will be holding Parent-Teacher Interviews on Thursday, March 21st from 1:00 – 3:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:30 pm.
Parents/Guardians can reserve appointments beginning Thursday March 7th at 7:00pm. Parents/Guardians will have until March 20th at 11:00pm to reserve interview times. Please note that all reservations are on a first-come-first-serve basis; therefore it is recommended that you book your appointment as soon as possible.

PART Meetings: Feb 26th & Feb 28th
Dear Parents and Members of the School Community,
The TDSB would like to invite you to a public meeting to discuss program issues and accommodation pressures at area schools. Some of these schools are experiencing over-enrolment and there are also some challenges with the elementary and secondary pathways.
These issues impact the following schools:
- Dublin Heights E & MS
- Faywood Arts-Based Curriculum School
- John Polanyi CI
- Ledbury Park E & MS
- Summit Heights PS
- William Lyon Mackenzie CI
The same meeting will be offered on two different dates. Please feel free to attend the meeting that is most convenient for you:
- Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
- Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
Both meetings will be held at Northview Heights Secondary School located at 550 Finch Avenue West.
Community voices are an important part of this process and I hope that you will be able to actively participate as a community member. For the latest information about the review please visit the Accommodation Reviews website.
Feb 20: Signature Day
The purpose of Signature Day is to provide students with opportunities to: speak with teachers of subjects they have not taken; learn about courses available at Mackenzie and get teachers’ endorsement and feedback for their choices. Please make an effort to be present on this important day.

Snow Day – School is closed today!
Due to the significant combination of snow, ice pellets & freezing rain expected throughout the day, all TDSB schools & administrative sites are closed today. This includes Child Care Centres located inside TDSB schools. All school permits & Continuing Education classes are cancelled & TDESAA/TDSSAA events will be rescheduled.

Mackenzie Student gets Grammy Nomination!
Mackenzie’s very own Isaac Rosenberg is on his way to the Grammy Awards this weekend after an album he sang on that features songs written by Holocaust victims was nominated.
